No, the exam pattern remains the same for both paper-based and computer-based IELTS. The only difference is:

  • Computer-based IELTS allows you to type your answers.
  • Paper-based IELTS requires you to write answers by hand.
  • The Speaking test is always face-to-face with an examiner.
